What I Do In My Life

I have been asked by some people, including my close friends, what I do on a day-to-day basis, and I tell them, "I'm an entrepreneur and I can't believe the number of things I get to do that I love."

What I do, foremost, is have fun...

Last summer I was working for a national bank as a contractor, when Alex, someone I hadn't seen in a long time, told me about this different kind of party event I should check out. It sounded interesting. I waited until I had a Saturday night free, and then, on July 3, 2004, I went.

What I do, is seek out opportunities...

There, in front of me, a show that was taking my breath away, a show I myself had envisioned creating, was actually taking place! I took the initiative to talk with Stuart, the director, and we made a connection. That initiative has made all the difference. Stuart asked me, "How would you like to be on stage next week, doing a few motivational monologues?" That stage experience lasted a couple of months and then what opened up was beyond what I had imagined.

What I do, is invest in my passions...

I promote a vision of inspirational entertainment -- having fun creating your life. Since this show (called DECIDE) was part of my vision, I automatically started to promote it. Becoming an executive of KnightFlight Productions has allowed me to invest in my passions. Today I'm involved in weekly meetings where we discuss the company's vision, strategize new business opportunities, and plan the attainment of our short-term goals.

Remember Alex who told me about the DECIDE Show? Well, I hadn't seen him since high school and we only chatted for about 15 seconds. I am so happy that I took out my business card and gave it to him, almost a year and half-ago.

This is what I do.
This is what I love doing.
