Born in Jamaica, Donovan arrived in Canada at age 13. He graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Sheridan College. In 1995 he won the 100m World Championship in Goteborg, Sweden in 9.97 seconds. But it was in 1996 when Donovan’s star really began to shine. At the Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, in front of a worldwide TV audience of millions, Donovan won the 100m final with World and Olympic Record time of 9.84 seconds. Today, Donovan Bailey still holds the Olympic Record for the 100 meters, and the World Record for the 50 meters. He also proudly claims the titles of Canadian Champion, Pan American Games Champion, Goodwill Games Champion, Commonwealth Games Champion, World Champion, and Olympic Champion.

Mark McKoy - Olympic Gold Medalist
Born in Georgetown, Guyana, 1961, Mark McKoy was 12 years old when his family immigrated to Canada, 1973, settling in Toronto, Ontario. Mark showed early interest in track and field and was soon making a name for himself winning hurdle events wherever there was a track meet.

At age 20, he represented Canada at the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane, Australia, 1982, and won the Gold Medal in the 110-metre hurdles. He repeated this achievement at the Commonwealth Games, Edinburgh, Scotland, 1986. Although disappointed with his performance at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, placing 7th in the hurdle finals, he spectacularly redeemed himself in the Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain, 1992, taking the Gold Medal in the 110m hurdles, the first Track and Field Gold Medal for Canada in 64 years. A five-time Olympian, Mark was a member of Canada’s National Track and Field Team, 1980-94. He still holds the world record for the 50m hurdles and is the former world record holder in the 60m hurdles.
Mark is widely recognized as one of the fastest humans from a standing start in history. In 1996, he provided explosiveness training to the Canadian National Karate team prior to the World Championships in Prague, Czech Republic. The Team responded by winning 36 medals, by far their greatest total medal haul ever.

Mark McKoy is responsible for creating the content of the fitness programs at Tranz4m, and ensuring that they are the best programs of their kind in the world.

Dr. Mohsen Kazemi 

Dr. Kazemi is the Tranz4m Sports Chiropractic Consultant. He is a doctor of chiropractic, and Sports Specialist with certificates in Chiropractic Rehabilitation and acupuncture. He has traveled extensively with the Canadian and Ontario Tae Kwan Do teams as team doctor, and has worked with several Olympic medallists and World Champions in Tae Kwan Do for the past 5 years. Dr. Kazemi has also been a member of the health care team for the Toronto Lynx Professional Soccer Club, Toronto Shooting Stars Indoor Soccer Club and Ontario Soccer Association.

He was appointed as an Alternate Chiropractor for Core Canadian Health Care Team for The Winter Olympics 2002, Salt Lake City and Commonwealth Games 2002, UK. He was appointed as one of the Core Canadian Health Care Team Chiropractors for Pan Am Games, Santa Domingo, 2003, working with water-polo, swimming, bicycle racing, badminton, tennis, karate, wrestling, fencing, boxing, basketball, volleyball, soft ball, gymnastic, synchronized swimming, athletics, and soccer athletes.

A full-time clinical faculty member at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College since 1998, he is also a full time Associate Professor and the Sports Sciences Residency Program Coordinator. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from CMCC in 1996. He completed his Sports Residency program at CMCC and received his Fellowship in 1999.

Dr. Kazemi is the Medical Chairperson for Ontario Tae Kwan Do Association, and the Director of the Sports Specialist Rehab Center in Toronto. He has published several articles and research papers in peer reviewed journals and presented his research papers and seminars in Sports Chiropractic and Tae Kwan Do around the world.


Dr. Tony Galea

Dr. Tony Galea, Tranz4m's Medical Consultant, is an M.D. who specializes in sports medicine and exercise physiology. He is the physician who treats many of North America’s top Olympic and pro Athletes, including Carlos Delgado, Mark McKoy and Donovan Bailey, and scores of others.

A graduate of McMaster University Medical School, Dr. Galea is recognized as one of the world’s top authorities in sports medicine and exercise physiology. He was the team physician for the Canadian 100 Meters sprint team at the summer Olympics in Sydney, and has been a team physician at major Track & Field and Freestyle Skiing Championships since 1989. He has also been the team physician at Major Tennis Championships (Players International, Du Maurier Women's WTA Canadian Open), the Toronto Marathon, and the Canadian National Figure Skating Championships. A leading advocate of drug free sport, he has been a doping control officer at major championships in Track & Field (Hamilton Spectator Games), Canoeing, and other sports.

Dr. Galea is a member of the University of Toronto Department of Family Medicine faculty, and is Director of the Institute of Sports Medicine& Human Performance. He is also a member of the Canadian Academy of Sports Medicine, The American College of Sports Medicine, The Canadian Medical Association, The Ontario Medical Association, The World Society for Tennis Medicine, and National Association of Disability Evaluating Professionals.


Dr. Marina Zelenovic B.Sc (Hon), C.N.P., RNCP, Doctor of Natural Medicine (DNM)

Marina is the Tranz4m Nutrititional Consultant. She has received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto and then went on to study at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, where she earned her designation as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner. She has also received her Live Cell Microscopy Certification with NuLife Sciences, for whom she is now a trainer.

Marina splits her time in her nutritional practice between New York City and Toronto, Canada. She has worked with numerous top athletes and lay people alike; creating personalized nutrition and lifestyle protocols to help her clients regain control over their health. In 2002, she wrote Eat Yourself Healthy, Volume I: The Facts, and Volume II: The Foods; two books that set out to simplify healthy eating and provide numerous quick, healthy and tasty recipes.


Domo Kovacevic

Domo Kovacevic is Tranz4m's Director of Fitness Training. A former competitive figure skater, he also played in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He has coached and trained people at all levels, from Canadian Olympic athletes to the general public for the past 5 years. He is a American Council on Exercise (A.C.E.) and a Certified Fitness Consultant (C.F.C.) certified trainer and consulted for the book "Teaching Yourself Visually Weight Training", Published by John Wiley & Sons.

He is now in private practice, specializing in sports-specific strength and cardio conditioning with the Tranz4m workout. His clientele ranges from professional athletes, CEOs and executives of various large companies, and to anyone who is truly committed to living a healthy and balanced life. He is known for his ability to really deliver on his client's goals and helps them achieve them with velocity.

Yep, That's me, I'm a graduate of the University of Toronto B. Comm. Program, and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Georgetown University's MSFS Program. With over 15 years of business experience, the past 7 in sales, marketing, and business development, the past 2 as a partner in Tranz4m. I've been a keen fitness enthusiast for the past 18 years, but I didn't really "Get It" until I discovered "Total Body Training" and the secrets of nutrition. I've been involved with the fitness training business since 2002, which caters to CEOs, business owners, senior executives, and other time-starved people.

So - Just what is this Program all about?

"It's all really very simple."

Easy for him to say - Right? "A traditional workout generally consists of weights or cardio, or some combination of the two.  For example, you could go outside and run. Typically, when you go out running, you run for 45 -- 90 minutes.  You usually work up a sweat, and get your heart rate up to 120 - 150 beats per minute.  As soon as the run is over, your metabolism rapidly settles back down, and you've done no resistance training, nor any core work."

"If you go to the gym and do weights, you typically work 1 - 3 body parts, for example chest, legs, and abs or shoulders, biceps, triceps, and back. Typically, you work on one body part, and do 3 - 4 exercises, 3 - 6 sets per exercise, with a 30 -- 90 second break between each set.  This can take anywhere form 45 - 120 minutes.  And then you might jump on a bike or treadmill to do cardio, for 20 - 45 minutes.  The workout takes a total of an hour to almost 3 hours.  You work your cardiovascular and neuromuscular systems, but you still don't get much of a core workout."

"If you do a Pilates class, you will get a great core workout, but not much of a cardio or neuromuscular workout.  You still need to do separate cardio and resistance training.  And Pilates classes are typically 60 - 90 minutes long. Yoga is also a great workout that addresses the core, and does help you get in some resistance training, but does not really help you get a good cardio workout, and a Yoga class can take 90 minutes or more."

The Core Circuit is composed of 6 separate exercises, each of which involves working the so-called core: the area between your shoulders and your ankles. These exercises are done slowly, and have a dual purpose: strengthen your core muscles, and warm you up for the rest of your workout.

The Leg Circuit involves doing 9 exercises, including some that are plyometric in nature, in other words, involving explosive jumps. Your legs include the largest muscle groups in your body, as such, doing a leg circuit forces you to work harder than any other circuit. This means your muscles get a better workout, but it also means your cardio workout is elevated to the next level. Your metabolism goes up and stays up, and you really feel your body building muscle and burning fat. It is not unusual for a participant to achieve a heart rate of 155 - 165 beats per minute in less than 2 minutes. This is a much more efficient and effective way to do cardio than go for a 3-mile jog.

The General Circuit is composed of 7 exercises, which work all the major areas of the body: legs, abs, chest, back, arms, and shoulders. Because the exercises are done in a fast-moving circuit, or in an interval, they elevate your heart rate, quickly. The higher our intensity, and the faster you do each repetition, the higher your heart rate will climb.

The Abdominal Circuit involves doing 11 exercises, purely focused on your abs. These are also done in the same fast-moving circuit or interval-based training as the other circuits, and they really build your abdominal muscles, and help you get that defined, lean, hard look. The fast-moving ab workout also helps you build your cardio endurance, and keep your heart rate high, so you burn fat throughout this circuit.

The meditation is 10 minutes long, and it's a wonderful way to relax your mind, spirit, your entire body. It also helps you eliminate toxins through deep breathing. The mediation begins with a slow countdown of 3 to 1, then a slightly faster one of 10 to 1. You will then relax your entire body, and visualize and feel it getting healthier, trimmer, and sexier! We finish off with focusing on 2 specific measurable goals for yourself, and 1 for someone else.
